Anvil Carrack Overview
The Anvil Carrack is a multi-crew explorer with a long-standing reputation as the go-to pathfinder for both military and civilian service. Built as a single, self-sustaining vessel for long-duration voyages through the roughest regions of space, the Carrack is designed for transiting jump points, enduring extreme conditions, and making it back home. It also includes two additional craft, the Anvil Pisces snub and an RSI Ursa Rover, expanding its capability from deep-space scouting to ground exploration.
Proven UEE Heritage and Civilian Availability
Since its time in the UEE Navy, the Carrack has led the vanguard of major exploration efforts in recent years. Combined with its high-tensile hull armor, it is widely regarded as one of the safest exploration ships in the galaxy. Now declassified, the Carrack is available for civilian use while retaining the core strengths that earned its military trust.
Self-Sufficient Exploration and Medical Support
The Carrack is designed for true self-sufficient flight with onboard accommodations that support extended operations. It includes medical and repair facilities, plus a mapping-oriented sensor suite that can continuously chart routes on the go. Its Tier 2 medical bed also supports respawn functionality up to 8,000 kilometers away, improving survivability on remote expeditions.
Extended Range and Jump Charting Power
Reinforced fuel tanks support long-duration flight, while the advanced Tarsus Tunneler jump drive array improves deep-range traversal. A dedicated computer core room allows the ship to allocate maximum processing power toward jump charting and navigation, supporting safer passage through complex routes and jump point operations.
Scout Craft, Rover, and Drone Capability
The Carrack carries a Pisces-class scout ship that can launch from its hangar for quick reconnaissance and local missions. It also houses an Ursa Rover for surface operations and includes unmanned explorer drone pods to extend survey reach and collect intel beyond the ship’s immediate footprint.
Canopy Protection and Sensor-Forward Flight
A striking single-pane, multi-story cockpit window provides exceptional visibility, paired with a titanium-reinforced blast cover that can rapidly seal the ship when danger strikes. When operating in blast mode, the Carrack relies on its extensive sensor systems for flight, maintaining operational capability even with the canopy protected.
Bridge Layout and Multi-Station Control
The Carrack’s bridge is split across two levels and built around scanning, mapping, and charting. It includes multiple crew stations and a large unobstructed canopy for situational awareness. The lower level has three hanging control seats, with the center seat serving as the pilot position. The upper level includes two crew stations and a commander station capable of piloting the ship. The starboard control station can also operate the remote turret mounted on top of the ship.
Modular Pods and Cargo Capacity
The Carrack supports three swappable modules mounted under the belly, allowing it to adapt to more specialized roles. The default configuration uses cargo modules with a combined capacity of 456 SCU, giving the ship significant hauling capability alongside its exploration and support systems.
