Drake Caterpillar Overview

The Drake Caterpillar is a large cargo ship manufactured by Drake Interplanetary, known for being a dependable and cost-effective multi-role freighter. Built to handle everything from commercial hauling to combat support, the Caterpillar is often seen as a rugged alternative to the popular Hull series. With substantial armament potential and extensive customization options, it is a favorite among captains who want a practical hauler that can be adapted to changing jobs and risk levels.

Detachable Command Module

A defining feature of the Caterpillar is its detachable command ship, which can separate from the main hull and operate independently. This module can be used to transport between multiple Caterpillar hulls, function as an emergency escape vehicle, or serve as a flexible utility craft during operations. In quieter moments, crews are even known to race command modules while waiting for cargo transfers.

Modular Cargo Holds and Independent Loading

The Caterpillar’s cargo space is divided into four compartments, each equipped with elevators on both sides for independent loading and unloading.
